The award was given during a Life Care ceremony held at the American Medical Directors Association Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. Seven other division award winners and a company-wide winner were also honored.
Bose began serving as the medical director at the facility in March 2013. In this role, she coordinates medical care and physician involvement at the center. She is at Westside Village Health Center four days a week for more than 36 hours, seeing patients and serving as a resource for the staff.
During her time at Westside Village, Bose has helped to significantly reduce the number of bouncebacks, residents who have returned to the hospital within 30 days of admission.
“Dr. Bose is a true advocate for the elderly, making sure that those in her care have the best pain management, are not over-medicated, have medications adjusted due to needs and making sure the residents and their families are knowledgeable of what she is trying to do for them in their healing and medical situation,” said Scott Piotrowicz, executive director at Westside Village.
“Physicians play a pivotal role in our residents’ care,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president, “and we are proud to honor those who stand out in their commitment and their compassion to ensure the health and well-being of those entrusted to them.”
